Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Serves as assistant to the Residential Mortgage Lending Department.  Closing and processing residential mortgage loan applications from origination through closing.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Disburses closed loans.
  2. Inputs mortgage loans on mainframe computer system.
  3. Packages closed loans and sends to investors with audited closing documents.  
  4. Finalizes funded loans and makes all necessary GL entries.  
  5. Follows-up on any final documentation (final title policy, etc.). 
  6. Scans final file to imaging system.
  7. Regular and reliable attendance.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Skill in operating computer terminals, printers and other various office equipment.
  • Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to create an efficient work environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent with previous mortgage loan closing/processing experience.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Light Work:  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing required, only occasionally.
