Q How is a Visa Debit Card different than a credit card?
The biggest difference is where the money comes from. A debit card is connected to your checking account, not a line of credit. So when you buy something at a store or take out money at the ATM, the money comes from your checking account.
Q How safe is it to make purchases at stores and online?
Visa® debit cards are protected through fraud detection software known as eNFACT. Each time you use your card at a store, the system looks at your common purchases to see if there's anything out of the ordinary. If fraud is detected, an eNFACT analyst will let you know right away. Or if you're using your card to buy something online, there's the added assurance of Verified by Visa.
Q I'm used to writing down transactions in my check registry. How do you make this easier?
