Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, but in compliance with established policies and procedures, perform a broad variety of customer services and sales activities such as answering telephones, providing initial customer contact by greeting customers as they enter the bank, opening new accounts including but not limited to checking, savings, certificate of deposit, IRA and safe deposit boxes. Cross-selling all services and answer questions from customers and branch staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Performs new accounts duties which include selling new accounts, closing accounts, advising customers on all bank services, and helping customers match the appropriate bank service to their specific need.
- Promotes bank services to customers by exchanging information with customer to introduce them to the bank and its services in person or by phone.
- Performs various customer service duties including answering telephone inquiries, ordering checks, reconciling statements, resolving disputes, etc.
- Performs cross sales.
- Assist when needed with daily Branch duties and assists with the duties of the Branch Manager in their absence. May be asked to develop promotional ideas, attend meetings, and training sessions.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
- Full knowledge of personal and business banking products offered, taking a personal initiative to stay updated on any changes. Basic knowledge of all banking regulations applicable to the job function and of all bank policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of general banking principles and banking regulations and a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.
- Skill in communicating with clients and co-workers in courteous and professional manner.
- Skill in operating computer terminals and printers, back counter capture machine, coin machine and copier
- Skills in effectively listening to customers and making appropriate referrals
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to perform customer service duties and provides leadership and guidance to subordinate members of the department in the areas of phone and in-person inquiries, conducting customer research, cash and check handling, and effectively making appropriate customer referrals to other bank staff.
- Ability to ensure that appropriate efficiency, accuracy, and customer service is provided to customers to ensure that the bank’s goals of meeting the customers needs is being met.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to function as a team player.
- Ability to perform any other duties/projects as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent with six months previous banking experience.

More Details
Rotating Monday through Friday 8 am -5 pm and 8:15 am to 5:15 pm shift.
Rotating Saturdays from 9:00-1:00 pm
Rotating Saturdays from 9:00-1:00 pm
